About Us
The mission of networkText is simple: to revolutionize group communication.
The company was founded by Derek Johnson, an enterprising college student and active fraternity member who knew a thing or two about the challenges of communicating effectively with large groups of people. Since the launch of the website in October 2007, networkText.com has enabled groups of all types and sizes to easily coordinate their activities by sending text messages to their members’ cell phones via the internet. No more serial dialing or typing. One message and you’re done.
Best of all, the service is completely free. Johnson organized his business model around unobtrusive yet highly targeted advertiser support. Each time a group member receives a text, it includes a short line imbedded in the message from a partner advertiser.
